Where His Banner Brightly Shines

All of my failures, yesterdays,
I cast on the banks of time,
Looking toward a new horizon
Where His banner brightly shines.

Leaving laurels of men's praises,
I reach forth to what's sublime,
Pressing toward the prize before me
Where His banner brightly shines.

Through His pow'r of resurrection
And a righteousness not mine,
"Knowing Him" my one ambition
Where His banner brightly shines.

Not as though I have attained it,
Nor perfection e'er be mine,
Still His call to me is "Onward"
Where His banner brightly shines.

(Refrain)
Run the race with perseverance!
Lay aside besetting sin!
Fight the fight, the course to finish;
Keep the faith, the crown to win!
